Episode 13: Dickens Boz in Oz Christmas special

Word of Mouth TV tags along for the Boz in Oz conference and discovers Charles Dickens’ great association with Australia. Of course, few authors conjure Christmas more readily than Dickens. Join us as we explore the mystery of the Dickens statue in Sydney’s Centennial Park, and interview some of Australia’s leading authorities on Dickens before gathering for a Dickensian feast at the beautiful historic Vaucluse House. As author of the classic Christmas novel The Christmas Carol, our Boz in Oz special seemed the perfect choice to celebrate the Christmas season. Enjoy!

Episode 12 – Christine Wells – The Juliet Code

Join us as we interview Christine Wells about her spy thriller romance The Juliet Code set in World War II France. Female spies have always held an exotic fascination for readers - think Mata Hari, Australia's Nancy Wake or Marvel's fictional Black Widow. Perhaps this fascination emerges from the sharp contrast between the courage involved and the relative physical frailty and social vulnerability of women. On so many counts, the female is outmatched - except for her intelligence and wit of course. And her main ally is the fact that she is constantly underestimated.

Episode 11: Pamela Hart – The Desert Nurse

With ANZAC Day just weeks away, this episode is an evocative reminder of the life and times of World War 1. Sydney was just a big country town, and when the news from Gallipoli returned, nearly everyone had lost someone dear. The people rallied on the streets in massive crowds to commemorate their loss, a scene repeated around Australia. The fledgling nation was united through its grief. The Desert Nurse is an adventurous romance that spans the globe and is the perfect accompaniment to ANZAC Day. Enjoy!
