Both books were set in the 1970s and it was an absolute blast from the past as we ventured back into one of the most fun and fascinating eras in Australia’s recent history.
We dine on 70s food – prawn cocktails, Steak Diane and the iconic Australia classic Peach Melba; Debra regales us with memories of her aspiring literary career as one of Australia’s pre-eminent scriptwriters in the 70s; and Richard takes us for a hilarious walk down memory lane as he revisits the almost alien culture and politics of the 1970s.
It was one of the most fascinating decades in our history and changed the Australian landscape for the best, we all believe, forever.
