Word of Mouth TV had such a great time interviewing authors at Writing NSW's Kids & Young Adult Festival. The events were packed but we still managed to persuade authors Jaclyn Moriarty, Garth Nix and Belinda Murrell to spare some time to talk about their latest books and share their book and food tips. Everyone else must have had a great time too, because the event trended fourth on Twitter for the day, no mean feat.
We are so excited. This week we feature our first debut author Lauren Chater, who has written a beautiful novel set in World War II Estonia, called The Lace Weaver. It's a story of love and courage in one small country caught between warring powers. We cook Estonian ribs and investigate Lauren's blog The Well Read Cookie.
Welcome to Part 2 of our WOM Sydney Writers' Festival coverage - our fourth episode! Debut sensation Sophie Green, talks about her outback adventure The Inaugural Meeting of the Fairvale Ladies Book Club; Stella Prize Winner Charlotte Wood discusses her latest novel Love and Hunger - such a good book for a cooking show; and Welsh debut author Emma Glass talks about her astonishing novel Peach.
