Episode 11: Pamela Hart – The Desert Nurse
With ANZAC Day just weeks away, this episode is an evocative reminder of the life and times of World War 1. Sydney was just a big country town, and when the news from Gallipoli returned, nearly everyone had lost someone dear. The people rallied on the streets in massive crowds to commemorate their loss, a scene repeated around Australia. The fledgling nation was united through its grief. The Desert Nurse is an adventurous romance that spans the globe and is the perfect accompaniment to ANZAC Day. Enjoy!
Episode 10: Charlotte Smith: One Enchanted Evening
Some might argue that Charlotte Smith is one of the luckiest women on earth. Bequeathed the world's largest vintage haute couture fashion collection by her Quaker aunt, she has written a delightfully illustrated book One Enchanted Evening that celebrates some of these gorgeous dresses. In a nod to Charlotte's British heritage we served a beautiful high tea - and then went to check out the fashion. We had so much fun, we hope you do too!
Episode 9: Josephine Moon’s Three Gold Coins
Word of Mouth TV dined a-la Tuscany with Josephine Moon, author of the beautiful romance Three Gold Coins, and served a delicious Tuscan white bean soup. Set between Brisbane and a goat farm in Italy with a sweet and sexy romantic hero, Three Gold Coins covered a huge amount of territory. And the ambience was divine, sitting outside in Kate's garden on a balmy Autumn day. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
